Airsys Founder & CEO Yunshui Chen Named 2026 SCBIZ ICON Honors Award Recipient

Designed to highlight the cutting-edge manufacturing and engineering innovations driving Upstate South Carolina, AM&E Night aims to inspire thousands of K-12 students and their families to pursue careers in technical and industrial fields. Over the past decade, more than 12,000 students have attended the annual event free of charge, strengthening the region’s talent pipeline for leading employers.
This year’s event centers on the theme of “People + Robotics + AI,” focusing on how regional corporate and academic partners are actively collaborating to pre-skill, re-skill, and up-skill the local workforce to meet modern technological demands.
In May, Airsys cut the ribbon on the $60 million first phase of its 60-acre global headquarters campus in Woodruff, cementing its position as a central hub for advanced manufacturing in the Upstate.

Event Highlights & Schedule
- 5 p.m. – Concourse Exhibits Open: Gates open at Fluor Field, featuring over 25 interactive concourse exhibits hosted by premier regional employers and institutions, including BMW, GE Vernova, Greenville Technical College, Milliken, Michelin, Fluor, RYOBI, and AIRSYS.
- 6 p.m. – AM&E Night Panel Discussion (500 Club): A panel of industry and educational leaders will discuss how technology and artificial intelligence are transforming today’s workforce and how students can best position themselves for future career success.

Throughout the evening, students and families will also have the opportunity to interact directly with current interns, apprentices, and new employees from participating companies to gain first-hand insights into career pathways in modern manufacturing and engineering.
In addition to the public concourse programming, corporate guests and leadership will gather in the AFL Champions Club for the Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Leadership Reception, hosted with support from BMW Manufacturing, to foster regional networking and fellowship.
